A Tuesday to try on

Sage

Time to listen. Room to think.

An hour with someone who's stuck on a project. No rushing to an answer. You both leave seeing the problem differently.

01 // Picture your Ideal Tuesday

One useful conversation beats thirty rushed ones.

There's time in your day for a proper conversation with someone you're working with. You hear what's getting in the way, then take quiet time afterwards to think about what might help. The point isn't to have all the answers. It's to see the problem clearly enough to make a good next move.

A Tuesday a few years from now. Which part would you fight to keep?

  1. You have time to think through the project before anyone needs a decision.

  2. A teammate is stuck. You hear the full problem instead of jumping to advice.

  3. You write down what you learnt and what you want to try next. There is still time for your own work.

  4. You jot down the question for tomorrow. Tonight, dinner is a catch-up, not another problem to solve.

02 // What this Tuesday makes possible

Listen long enough to hear the real problem.

Someone who's stuck on a project doesn't need a speech. They need time to explain the whole problem. You give them that time, and together you work out what to try next.

Watch for this

When every conversation runs long, the quiet time you wanted for your own work disappears first.

Try it this week

Ask a friend about something they're building or organising. Put your phone away, let them explain what's stuck and see whether you enjoy working it through together.
